Hi,

We have a pair of BMW flip-ups which both came with 'Police' SONIC headphones and mics.

I now have a SONIC autocom, but how do I connect the helmets ?

It seems a shame to have to remove the professionally fitted SONIC gear but
I cannot force a 1/4 inch phono plug into a 7-Pin DIN no matter how hard I hit it....

I think I'll just cut off the SONIC plugs and solder on a 7-Pin DIN but I'm not sure where I can get a waterproof one (i.e. like Autocom use, not like from Maplins) 7-Pin DIN plug and I have no idea which wires to join to which pins...

Any thoughts most welcome.

As our noise cancelling is split 50% and 50% system we do not recommend a third party headset to be as the system would sound a lot different for how it was designed. If you also speak with any Police rider that run our systems on their own bikes 99.9% will say our headsets/systems supply a far more better sound quality.

amen to that, the quality of sonic speakers is nowhere near as good as the autocom stuff.
