connecting ipod to new mac??

hi ive recently brought a new macbook and need to conect my i pod to it but it wont allow me to without deleting the pods libary.:mad:
does anyone know how to connect it as its currently synced to my previous pc laptop.
The MACBOOK is a revolation by the way, thanks for all the positive encoragement that helped me buy it, i love it , so nice to use :thumb

i'd say you need to transfer your itunes library from your old computer to the new macbook. either by external USB HDD, or network, or using one of the 3rd party apps to upload from the ipod.

something else to consider, is that your ipod is almost certainly formatted as pc from the old pc. this will work fine with a mac, except you won't be able to update the software on it from your new mac without starting again and reformatting in mac format. if it's an old ipod it probably won't make any real difference. if it's a Touch or an iphone, you'll probably want the updates.
 
If you have an itunes account you'll need to authorise your new macbook to be used with the account too - in itunes under 'store' click authorise computer; you can authorise up to 5 different computers to the account.
