Hi,

I have had a set of anakee III's on my r1150gs for 7500 miles and they are getting close to needing replacement.
I'm seriously considering swapping over to conti trail attack 2's, to try and get rid of the road noise created by the anakee's.
I cant really knock the anakee tyres, but the noise they create makes me think a wheel or final drive bearing is rumbling (which they arent).
Is anyone using TA 2's on their 1150 and if so what do you think of them?

Cheers in advance

I reckon don't personally. They don't wear well, the front feels odd round corners and when it's worn a bit it feels horrible.

I reckon the rumble is more to do with the roads up there than the tyres:) I've never had noise problems with Anakees but I've not tried the IIIs

I've not used TA 2, but have and do use the original Trail Attack's, excellent tyre in all conditions, good wear rate, and don't 'go off'.

They're still available for sale, and I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Anakee 2

Hi tried a set of Anakee 3's on my 1150GS but I didn't like them at all - especially the front.
Now back on Anakee 2's which are absolutely superb on the 1150:thumb

Thanks for the advice fella's, but as a cheap tourance rear appeared for sale on here earlier...................i'm going back to those for a while.
