Well just invested in this little baby in the video below, however, I can put the bike on its center stand even in my slippers, weight is about 250 kgs with a bit of petrol, well not a chance in hell getting it up this time without using super human effort, and with my boots on, I ended up putting my panniers on the rear fully loaded to give a bit of help, so just be a bit careful, it is a fantastic bit of kit and really well built, I went for the 400kg option, but if you are already struggling to put your bike on the centerstand, this might just break your back, looking at their video seems they are using a 800, with an empty weight of 177 kgs, so 80 kgs does make a real difference in being able to throw the bike up.

I have an earlier version and the main problem I've had is if I try to lift my 1200 gs with anything other than my bike boots or really strong shoes on as the centre stand digs into the sole due to the increased angle. With my boots on I can get it onto the stand without any problems using the leverage and power in my legs. I'm 5'7", 11 stone and no spring chicken so not exactly a powerhouse!

Yep I had that problem, in slippers lift bike no problem, with the stand boots are needed.

Suspect that if you put a sheet of 20mm plywood (or similar) under the back wheel first it would go up much easier ;)

How will putting the bike on the highest setting help ? The rear wheel is still in the same position in relation to the stand, the problem lies with the stand have a greater angle to lift the bike.
The answer was with the piece of wood lifting the tyre up of the ground to allow the wheel to be at about the same height as the dolly, putting you in the position as if the dolly wasn't there. Raising the height of the bike via the suspension does nothing.

Plank of wood sounds good to me, I will actually do both tomorrow, just for the experience, at the moment backs playing up, after this mornings palava.

I've got one of these... great device.

I roll my rear wheel onto a plank of wood, then the centre stand goes up easy. Remove wood. Job done.

The rear wheel on a piece of 40 mm wood, position the dolly with your foot,
Goes onto the mainstand easily,
