Have just completed the first 600 miles on the new boots , must say they are very good and better than the old CTA2 , which was a difficult part to take over.
The tyres have a good feel to them , allowing you to push forward with a feeling of steady and assured grip.
Most of the roads have been B roads with a splash of A's and they work brilliantly.
On the B roads the tyres follow the chosen lines and don't even wander over broken surfaces and allow you to get from edge to edge with little concern , hard braking and the tyres show no squim and fast exits are covered by the stutter of the tc coming into play . Turned it of for a bit and found that even then the tyre gripped well and was wheeling out of the corners , put it back on as the roads were still showing signs of tractor mud and loose chippings etc plus it was still 3 to 5 degs.
Overall a breath of freash air for me as this new tyre feels great and turns how I would like a tyre to turn , not over fast but not lazy , Well done Conti.

I nearly went for TA3s having had TA2s on my bikes for years, but in the end I went for Pirelli Rally STRs and I must say the handling is unbelievable on both my ATAS and 790R.
Would be interesting to try the TA3s but the STRs are so good that I daren’t,plus both bikes are on newish rubber so will be a while until they need replacing .

Try the Scorpion trail next time, fantastic tyre, grip and feel giving massive trust to just lay the bike over with confidence. Just look through the corner and chuck it it in.

I’ll more than likely give the TA3’s a turn next change. Hopefully they’ll keep the longevity of the 2’s as well.
