Fitted the Trail attacks to the Adv last week, so far seems excellent, certainly miles better than the Tourance as a road tyre. They have an excellent rounded road profile and tip in very quickly with good grip. Essentially a Road Attack with differant tread cut. Can't seem them being any use in anything other than forest trails/light dry off road work. However as I'm not trying to kid myself or any one else that I'm doing a Ewan 'n' Charlie I'm fine with them. Haven't tried them in the rain yet, but if they're anything like the Road Attacks that I used on my BoxerCup then they'll be superb.

Will update after Rain and more miles........

trail attacks

I agree I have them fitted to my 650gs and find them far better than tourances, even on wet roads and through the winter.

I would be interested to know where you found the Tourances wanting?

I've been happy with Tourances on my 1150GS for the last 40,000 miles but this last set haven't filled me with much confidence. They are getting towards the end of their life now (still passed the MOT today mind) but have given me more than a few 'moments' in the wet.

I've booked in to get a pair of Trail Attacks fitted in a fortnight for the same price as Tourances. I normally get 8k+ out of a rear Tourance but I expect these may turn out at 6k..ish but with better grip.

We'll see.

2300 miles to Garmisch and back on Trail Attacks with SWMBO on the back.. alot of fast motorway stuff and plenty of twisties, and plenty of rain :augie

hardly look worn..... and they grip just fine :thumb2
