Specifically as above:

Just been called by Vertu to say these tyres are no longer made in sizes for the R1300gs and are not available. Gobsmacked tbh.

Can anyone confirm? I am sure I could shop around and find some, but that is not the same as ‘no longer manufactured’.

Had to for Michelin Road 6. Not a big issue in itself.

They're still manufactured, a search on the Continental site recommends them for the 1300 GS etc. They are also OE fit on the R12 Nine T. They will drop the 3's before they drop the 4's.

More like they do not have any in stock and are talking out of their arses , shown available from every tyre supplier and Continental list them as an option for the R1300GS

I have emailed Continental UK for clarity this afternoon, because I suspect BS. Cant stand lies.
Booked this in over 5 weeks ago, service and a VERY specific request for CRA4 at BMW garage.
CRA 4 is the latest available, so unless there is some specific problem…we will see..

Different tyre size? Im waiting on feedback from Conti before I light the fuse.

Well they might up it a TA4 as the TA3 I would expect out sell the RA4 in the Adventure Class. And after running both the TA3 works better than the RA4 as I found it a bit slow to turn compared to the RA4 , suspect its the sharper front profile of the 3 front.

Two tyres in London show stock. Mail order them to the dealer. Lieing fecking stealers again….

I wish. Time constraints mean I have ti accept Michelin Road 6. OK tyres. Not what I ordered six weeks ago, which is what really is pissing me off. After calling them a second time, to confirm my service details and tyre details…they basically did fcuk all until it was too late for me to resolve. Not that I should be the one to resolve the situation. Absolute shower.
For what it is worth I will follow it up, probably with BMW too, re: general poor standards of service inc. actual length of time needed to get booked in to the workshop. Just get some bloody mechanics trained and pay the wages to retain staff. Not rocket science and a requirement to back up the claim of being premium brand. Service counts.
Hmm, maybe I mis-spelled ‘service counts’. Close…

Cambrian Tyres in Aberystwyth are the biggest motorcycle tyre distributor in the Galaxy, and they deliver by noon the next day if the order is placed by x'o'clock.
