Been using this camera for just over a week an a love it, having the ability to record 1080p video without all the bulk is really impressive. Also having the embedded GPS layer is also amazing. Battery life sis about 2 hours i use a 32gb card and every 10 minutes is about a GB of memory but thats at highest quality.

If you run it at 720p 60fps you are more efficient on memory and its better for slowing things down on the video and at the same time keeping the detail.

Av not been out on the bike much with it so far but here is a few videos. 1 on a bike and 1 paragliding.

The GPS bit I like. Was the footage shot from the ground of you paragliding done with the Contour or with another camera? I assume the latter as there's helmet cam footage which I assume is the Contour.

On Friday I took delivery of one of these, I've yet to fit it to the bike but tested it yesterday morning whilst walking the dog. Pleased with the results so far.

Once the video starts playing increase the res to 720p by clicking the 480 at bottom right of the player. Will record in 1080p as well but quite frankly the trade off between SD card usage, processing time as well as time taken to upload to YouTube 720p is adequate for my use.

I have a 32GB card which will give about 8.5 hours at 1080p, almost 14 hours at 720p and 24 hours at 480p. 1080 and 720 are at 30 fps and 480 at 60 fps.

The footage from the ground in the paragliding video is a Sony Nex 3 @ 720p a love the camera. Over all it shoots better than the Contour for video but you would expect that considering the image processor.

Your camera has the benifit of being able to see what is being recorded the contour doesnt unless you buy a card for it so you can pair up your iphone. I like that video of your dog i would have stood further back though for when it dries itself a hate getting wet.

Didn't know what one of those was until I just looked it up, looks good for video shot on, what's on the face of it, a stills camera.

Sounds like a very neat modular solution, not cheap I'd imagine. Being able to see to line up the camera is a must as far as I'm concerned though I suppose hard mounted to a bike it's less of an issue because you can test and get it right and you're sorted from there on in.

Used to get the odd shower from him, tested the waterproofing of the camera head as well :D
