Convert PAB into XLS?

I have a PAB address book but need to read it without Outlook/Exchange; any ideas on converting it to say XLS or TXT, please?

I tried to open it into Outlook 2003 but MAPI errored.

I've not used Windoze for a long time but I'm pretty sure .pab files are native to Outlook. See here.

It may be that Outlook is having issues too. Have you tried updating all the MS software? An alternative is to try importing it into Outlook Express as this may still be fresh and unmolested on your pc.

You can open the .pab in Word and then import the resulting Word doc in Excel if that helps.

Sorry Jumperboy - not happy sending people's names and addresses out. Data Protection Act is all about that sort of thing.

Can anyone point me to a suitable conversion tool (I've found a few at $29.99 - looking for FREE!)?

Download a trial version of outlook 2010, open the PAB and export it to excel
