Convert .wav to .mp3 ?

I have just found out that everything I've ripped from CDs to put on my little MP3 player has been ripped as .wav files.

I'll have to do it all again as .mp3 files to put it on the Zumo I've just ordered. Unless someone can tell me a quick way to convert the .wav files on my MP3 player to .mp3 files when I transfer them to the SD card in the ZUMO ...

It's not particularly quick but it is free to download iTunes from http://www.apple.com that'll convert .wma to .mp3 . Make sure you tell it you want MP3s as opposed to Apples own .aac format. If you have the original CDs (of course you will, you're an honest man) it'll probably be less hassle to just rip them again using iTunes but as .mp3 in the first place. I'd do them at 192kbps. You could use Audacity with the lame mp3 codec. Linky here:

It allows you to do a fair bit more to your music files as well.....
