I've been a user of Garmins and Mapsource for many years now, but recently decided to ditch my PC for a Mac. I have finally got around to converting the maps to the Mac. All seemed to go well and I now have a 1.2GB City Navigator Europe NT v9.gmapi icon on my desktop.
But when I double click on this it just prompts me to install it - which I have now done on numerous occasions! - but IT DOES NOT OPEN Mapsource??
I have uploaded the MapManager and if I click on this in Utilities and select City Navigator it once again just prompts me to install it.
I'm not great with PCs or Macs come to that, so need some gentle guidance as I really want these maps on my new Mac as my PC is dying fast.
Please help - in layman's terms!
John.

The Mac doesn't use Mapsource. Instead it has RoadTrip. All Mac stuff is available here; http://www8.garmin.com/macosx/index.jsp

Follow the instructions carefully, and it does work. It's hard to help you directly without guessing where you have erred and, indeed, I would probably only rephrase the Garmin instructions.
