I want to put twin seats on an Adventure and have all or most of the required parts however, I don't have a key for the seat lock assy I have amongst the coversion parts. Can I get a key to match it, get a lock assy to match the bikes key or will I have to source another lock assembly with a key? How did other folk who've done this get round it?

TIA

It is possible to remove this key barrel and recode it to your ignition key

All you need is the original key to get it out?

Why would ya want a Double seat isn't the qadventure one better?

Iknow my ass hurts after 50 or 60 miles on a std gs seat and I can go fer miles an miles an miles an even more miles on the adventure before I hav e to stop Usually just before I run out of gas or should I say petrol :aidan:aidan:aidan I never seem to run out of gas according to my beloved wifey!

I find the adventure seat hard on my skinny a$$:ymca

Going to put twin sargents on. Don't have the original key for the twin seat conversion parts so doeas that mean they won't come out?

To be perfectly honest I don't think the standard GS riders seat is any better than the Adventure one ( the pillion one is though) , just look at all the posts from people changing to aftermarket seats.
I went down the road of fitting gel inserts into the riders seat and it was little better.

The final solution was an Airhawk.
