Hi All,
I recorded some footage on a Sony DV Camera in the 16:9 (widescreen) format but am having trouble getting it to playback properly in the standard ratio on the laptop.
When I try and edit the footage in Windows Media Player I can only save the file again in 4:3 ratio. As a result when I play back the edited movie its all squashed.
I have two options as far as I can tell
1. Use some software to "convert" the widesceen footage to standard and then edit it.
2. Get WMP (or any other software) to allow me to save the file in Widescreen format.
I'm annoyed one because I filmed on widescreen in the first place and two because I spent hours editing the footage and making what I thought was a movie to remember. Shattered dreams.
I've heard Adobe Elements mentioned on this forum. Would this give me the answers I need to do this?
Hope this makes sense!
Gazza
