I'm sure this has been asked before but I couldn't find anything.
I have an 07 GSA and as a preference like to keep the spots on in heavy traffic and don't find them much use at night on unlit roads. However with HID dip and main, the spots are a different hue - "a warmer white"
Is there an easy way of converting them to LED or a "blue-er" light without resorting to the newer and very expensive spots, HID or other alternatives such as those marketed by our Fanum for example?

I had a GSA with HID fog lamps when I did a Job for BMW last year on the E Scooter Launch . It was like close encounters in the rear view mirrors of my fellow riders . BMW do LED Spots at about £250 a set .Worth it and they fit and reprogram the system . No one will say SMIDSY:thumb

the bm gsa led lamps are a straight swap with a small wiring swap but no reprogramming is required, ive got them and they are worth every penny imo.

Replace the fog lights with high power LEDs. Good ones are about £100 a pair. The best ones have high and low power settings so no dazzling in daylight.

Hey prop do you get a lampf error or doesn't the change mess with the canbus current?

My spots run on their own fuses, so I'm guessing they don't have any effect on the canbus on the bike,

No error message with the led lamp replacement, as said fogs are through a fuse so non dependent on can bus.

I will have to pop open the front of my bike tomorrow and have a look as my GSA only has one fuze and that's for it's LORRY sized warning horn, so I think whoever got them fitted did it another way which makes me very sad as it means I've got to fiddle withthe bike when I could be riding it.

Check under the black plastic tank cover on the offside, I think that's where my fuses are for the spots

Reading the responses with great interest and thanks but am a little confused? I assumed my spots were OEM but hadn't thought about the canbus aspect, or are they fused conventionally anyway?
Swapping the bulbs for LED versions seems to be the most economic way for me if I'm not planning on traversing the Steppes at midnight but should I now be looking for "error free" bulbs?

Thanks for all the info fellas, finally sorted my spots and well pleased.
Purchased some bulbs from Autobulbs Direct as suggested by Prop and its a straightforward swap - no re-wiring and no LampF errors.
There are cheaper bulbs out there but I am told you get what you pay for in terms of brightness and longevity. Be careful not to over tighten the screws holding the lamp body together DAMHIK.
They seem much brighter although I couldn't really measure it but they are now matching the HIDs which is what I was after.
