Cool cover fitting

Recently bought a cool cover for my R12g/s cover fits ok but just can’t get seat to fit back on bike and get the stupid locking nut to secure seat tried for 2 hours trying to secure seat bolt
Seat is a very tight fitting with out cover on it
Any advice?

Sit on it and get someone else to fit the locking nut

Tried that the problem is the seat is not going forward enough towards tank for bolt to line up

I got a cool cover and struggled to get it to fit. Really tight and the seat didn't want to latch. I ended up sending it back. They sent another by return that fitted easily and quickly, dead simple. Maybe it's not the right cover for the bike?

Took the seat off my G/S to fit tie down loops. Pain to get back on. Have to push from the back, rather than down on it.
Thought at the time, "I'm never going to get a cool cover on this".

No, I though not.

I got my cool cover on seat by not trying to have the sides under the seat. With the front and rear under, the sides grip with the elastic.
