Cooper BMW Sunderland- 'sorry to have disturbed you'

You try wearing the shoe on the other foot - my loan bike goes out full up, and usually gets returned not filled.

So now it goes out empty and people have to put in what they're going to use.

I always top it with a fiver at the same supermarket station in battersea... ;)

Thank christ you aren't a customer of mine, i'd tell you to feck off. :bounce1

I'd expect nothing less than to be told to feck off as I hand over the cash.....

YOU NEED A CUP OF COFFEE AFTER THEY KICK YOU IN THE BALLS WITH THERE PARTEXCHANGE PRICES.

To be honest, theres no law that says that you have to PX your bike with them or any dealer, they're there to make money . If you don't like the price they offer you, sell it privately ......

Just a newbie on here whos had a 1150 GSA for about six months and loving it. Been reading this post with interest and just wanna know if its ok to give feedback or an opinion on here whether its good or bad? :D

Blimey. The flaming Colin got was totally disproportionate to his comments. Dealers have bad days and customers have bad days. The difference is that the customer gives the dealer money so the onus is on the latter to do their job properly however they happen to be feeling on the day. My job means I deal with customers and I couldn't get away with anything like the approach I have regularly experienced with motorcycle dealers. Even if a customer of mine acts in what I feel is an unreasonable way, I have to get over it because I want to do business with them. It's what I am paid to do. It doesn't give me the right to act unreasonably as some of the above comments suggest. Colin had what he considered to be a bad experience and has a perfect right to comment on it, as has anyone who has a good experience. Best to assume that anyone reading is intelligent enough to form a balanced view of each. As it happens, BTW, my first experience with a BMW dealer has been exemplary (Southport Superbikes).

Couldnt agree more. A bit more tolerance might be in order all around. :thumb

:D

I always get 10% of everything, even 30% if I play it cool with the clothing. In addition, I'm the worst haggler in the world.

Nice bunch of people. The woofter :augie in there really loved my DRZ back in the day when it was "adventurised". He came outside to talk about it and never once tried to make out that any BMW was better and would I be interested etc.

Just my view

Been in cooper bmw plenty times bought car and bike there over the last few years, Trade in price for car was'nt the best i could of hoped for ,so i didnt trade it in with them! .Trade Price for the bike was'nt what i wanted ,so i sold it private.

But one thing i can say is when i do go there (which is quite often) the staff have always been more than helpfull and very knowledgeable about all thier products, So it is a dealer that i would recommend and do business with again.

We all are entitled to our opinions though!!!!.

AND I DONT EVEN DRINK COFFEE:toungincheek:pullface

Not much changed around here then.
Newbie makes entirely reasonable post and gets slapped down by bigger boys in the playground cos they've got more posts.
And the moderators are (almost) the worst offenders!

Isn't it reasonable to expect service, civility and attention when you go into a shop ? [Or a forum for that matter]
Coopers in Reading went bust. Partly for reasons of service, as I remember lots of complaints at the time. Maybe they all moved to Sunderland.

Ta ra, laters, etc

I had to re-read the first post following your comments.
This post appears to be nearer a rant and belongs in rant forum.
1) The OP seems determined to punish Coopers Sunderland severely in a very determined manner. No second chance from this OP!
2) We do not hear Cooper's side of the story. There are always two sides to an argument. If there is only side it is a rant.

The mods do a pretty amazing job considering some of the personalities on this forum!

Glad to see there are some normal people on here. Seen it a few times now when certain 'members' seem to act like a pack of hunting hyenas routing out people and try and make them flounce. Must be a great game for them.

Yep, couldnt agree more mate, this is the sort of thing that really pisses me off about this site, it's like no-one except the little 'gang' is allowed an opinion? then when the bravest 'twat' shouts out, the 'normal' guy (colin), does the right thing and backs out of what has become a ridiculous conversation, then all the 'sheep' come out of the woodwork and give there tuppence worth,

Fcuking sad acts.....need to get a real life.......sit on the computer all day looking for someone/something to jibe at, go and do something useful. But, like all 'cowards', they will, once ridiculed themselves, come out and say something like, 'ah, it was just a bit of fun'.

I will not be renewing my subscription again, personally, i think the majority of the people on this site are a sad bunch of 'no-marks' who are probably, (the blokes), hen-pecked at home and so full of sh1t.

I expect the 'moderators', (probably all failures at work), will remove this anyway but hey, i dont give a fcuk!!!!!

By the way, i delt with Cooper at Suderland and thought they were OK.

"What a Brown-noser!"

Now is THAT a rant ?

A wiser man wouldn't have said that.

Quite agree Harry, a BMW dealer condoning that sort of behavior? Although i know of the guys at NOG and am sure this is not the opinion of the dealership as a whole!

Good decision ...

What I meant was...............!!

Hey Harry and Smudger - OK, OK, apologies, back in September when this thread started (!!!) with hindsight perhaps I should have qualified my support for Rokket's comments. Whilst I don't support abuse on this site what I thought he got spot on was the decision by the guy to ride all the way from North Cumbria to Coopers Sunderland to allegedly spend loads of money on a new bike and new kit and then turn up ten minutes before the shop shuts was ridiculous.

To then turn round and slag the dealer staff for pointing out that he would need to get a move on is equally unfair. Buying a new BMW is usually a £10000+ decision - would anyone who is SERIOUSLY going to do this leave themselves 10 minutes in which to do this? Customers in my experience take longer than that to choose a pair of gloves.

I appreciate we are in the retail business and have stayed open late many many times to accommodate customers who have phoned to say they have been delayed or may not get to us until 5.30ish. You have time to plan then, you can ask staff to work overtime, you can call wives, girlfriends, children etc to tell them you're going to be late home.

Sometimes it seems to be forgotten that the guys you meet in the bike department are not the multi millionaire owners of BMW. They are ordinary guys like you who love bikes, love working with bikes, riding bikes etc etc, and are doing their jobs generally with passion and enthusiasm for the sort of wages that many of you wouldn't get out of bed for, so come on GSER's, dont blame a guy who's been at work for 9 hours 50 minutes for wanting to go home on time.
