Corbin front and BM rear seats

Is it possible to fit a corbin front seat to an 1100gs and still use the standard pillion perch or are the two incompatable?

Incompatible.

You either need a Corbin rear, or have the existing rear re-shaped.

Not so with a Sargent front seat, apparently.

Remove the staples from the front of the rear seat and cut a good half inch or so from the front of the plastic base and restaple.

I did the same mod before I found a rear Corbin on a previous bike.
