Cork Dublin - Toll Question

as far as I know, yes as these are not automatic tools. You'll pass two on the way up but the M50 is now free for bikes.

We did it for years here in dublin.... dont forget to put the bike up on the stand as well :augie & watch the face of the car driver behind you

OK a whopping 1.90€ is it worth me holding all the cars up, taking my gloves off, finding my wallet, and getting ready to go off again for 1.90€

Cheers

Now Richie, if you were driving a GS, you could fit a euro coin under the fuel tab on the tank.

Stays there under all conditions!:thumb2

I was thinking of getting one, but for some reason my favourite salesman left the company:augie:D:thumb

BTW I hear they have moved to little island now, is that true???

Ya, was just down there. They have much better coffee and even have hot chocolate! Buns, sweets and scones!

Lots of "suits" buzzing about...

Interesting to see how it will work out for them.... I wish them all the best!

Adrian is still there! Hasn't morphed into a suit yet though!:thumb

theres always a gap big enough between the barriers that when a truck is at the booths, you can slide up his inside;)

Thats what I do when I pay the tolls but I still get off the bike, remove helmet and gloves and watch the face of the toll operator, if on the Harley the expression on their faces is priceless when I rev it up a few times b4 leaving :bounce1
1800cc + V&H large radius straight through is a lot of noise :hide

To cause further delay offer a credit card at the Fermoy toll, which they won't accept even though they have card readers,(not wired in apparently)then tell them you don't have any cash at which point they will produce a form for you complete with your name, address, reg. etc.,it's up to you what details you give them.
That should take a good 10 minutes by the time you get your lid and gloves back on...you get the idea.

No we are not trying to cause any delay......But its illeagle to stop on motorways so how can we get our money out except at the toll booth? And you cant expect anyone to ride off without making sure that your gloves are on secureley and water proof. Can you? JJH

being doing this a few times this week at the enfield toll on the n4
the funny part is by the time you have got your gear off, found coins, left the coin on the seat and put you gear back on to get ready to go the automatic toll has lost your vehicle type (gsa to small or something )
you then have to take your gear off again and hit the busser to get someone to come over to you and put a bike on the system, get geared up again pay and head off,
was in no rush this week so did not mind but if it was rush hour it could have been some craic
