Cornwall - Truro area recommendations wanted

Hi all - I’m looking for a last minute campsite recommendation for a couple of nights next week. Around the Truro general area. Something quiet but tidy with decent showers. Travelling on my own with van, tent and trail bike.

Does anyone have any recent experience they could recommend? Any suggestions much appreciated!

Haven’t been for quite a few years but Trewince near St Mawes was nice.

Beacon Farm at St Agnes, 7/8 miles from Truro on the north coast. 200m from the coast path, haven’t been for a couple of years but good facilities.

We've used this place many times over the last few years, it's never been busy even in August. I think they rest the generous pitches to allow the grass to recover between guests. . The showers are the annoying time limited ones but plenty hot enough if you choose the one nearest the boiler. No extra charge for motorcycle, no nightclub/bar/theme park/entertaiment apart from some animal feeding in the morning. Pub/beach is a 20min walk, sea view from the top of field where there are hookups. Good location for heading West and North for trails but you have to get past Truro going east, King Harry Ferry takes you to Roseland peninsula and avoid Truro city centre. Trails and central areas will be empty Mevagissey St Agnes etc much less so.

Thanks all. I’ve now booked Beacon Farm at St Agnes. Had a chat with Jane, who runs the place who seemed lovely. A touch pricey for camping but at least it’s sorted and in the area I needed.

Please report back, that's a nice location, we normally ride to the north coast and scout around St Agnes but had lunch there last month.

Family run, great showers and toilets, spotlessly clean and no bar/clubhouse. Last year they had a pizza van visit once a week, I'll let you know in a fortnight's time whether that's still the case.

Plenty of space between pitches and if you avoid the school holidays you can arrive/leave on any day.
They also rent out very clean static caravans as well.

I cannot fault Beacon farm. Other than that It was a bit steeply priced - £42 a night for a standard tent pitch, but it’s a popular location with sea views (1/4 mile distant ish) and it was during summer holidays.

Bloody hell it was windy though - I caught the back end of storm Lillian! Made for noisy nights and poor sleep. Several families left for more solidly built accommodation during my stay.

Well kept site. Decent facilities, loos, showers and laundry room. Bakery van visits every couple of mornings and I think a fish and chip van did likewise on certain evenings.

Short walk down to Wheal Coates tin mine ruins and the south west coast path.
