Corosion on front engine cover again..!!

Thanks for the link.
Have given up worrying about what it looks like and I'm just enjoying riding it.
Will start to panic about looks again when it's time to change.

Update on engine cover.
Spoke to Steve at Rainbow who said that after trials they aren't going to powder coat my cover as a good will gesture.
Turns out they are only lasting as long as painted due to the powder coating cracking when the plate is tightened up.
Nothing else doing either so looks like I'm stuck.

Pity that doesn't work then. I still reckon your best bet it to use some electrolytic coating such as 'Starbrite' on the threads of any steel fasteners which penetrate the aluminium cover casting. It's your best chance of keeping corrosion at bay.
 
A lick of Silver hammerite sounds far less trouble :D It matches the rest of the silver a treat if you don`t look really, really close :augie
