Hi!

anyone out there had a problem with the contacts on the rear of the actual zumo unit?

Its the 3rd pin on the left, rear row (with the screen facing up)

I've tested cables and charger mount, registering 10v on the corresponding pin

The fault is very intermittent - usually in the 'not working' side of intermittent though :blast

I've read up on mount failures but its immaculate, all contacts are clean and free moving - just the unit one is clearly damaged in some way

Tried some electrical contact paint from maplin to bridge the gap but no joy at all, so this is removed and back to exactly what it was

Has anyone had this? is it something garmin can fix??

any recommendations??

Thanks in advance

Sid :beer::beer:

Garmin replaced my unit with a brand new one, even though it was 2 months out of warranty.

My problem was pretty much as you describe, my corroded contact was the power contact, so it wouldn't run in the cradle.

:JB well today I recieved a fully reconditioned unit from garmin!!

sent it last friday, back here already, I'm amazed

Considering I got this unit of fleabay I'm surprised at the awsome customer

service

well done garmin :beer::beer::beer: now I can see why most people on here rave about them

Now got to try and register it with them, think I'll leave it a couple of days as I don't want to push my luck!!

Now to test it out!
