Rear Subframe Corrosion

Anyways, I'll now be using a garage pressure washer on my Africa Twin from Saturday.

You've convinced me it's a good thing to do.

So I'm in. :D

Don’t use a petrol station jet wash :rob

Jet washing is fine as long as one stands back to reduce the blast, which does kinda destroy the whole point of a jet washer to some extent - my garden hose pressure is high enough to do the job so don’t normally bother with the faff of connecting up the Karcher and trailing the mains lead through puddles :)

The foam attachment filled with car shampoo is good for giving the bike an all over coating, then rinse off either will the jet wash at a distance or just the regular hose attachment. Seems to work well no corrosion on either my 1150GS or the 1200GSA (TC).

Get what you pay for I guess
Unless you buy a premium Bmw ADVENTURE

It was supposed to include your post within the yellow window... I must have accidentally touched the screen of my iPad and inadvertently cocked it up!

Anyway, your post was extremely beneficial - thanks. Everyone who owns a bike, or has machinery to protect, should watch that clip. :thumby:
