Corrosion or Brake Dust on GSA crash bar top mounting bracket?

I had a 2014 gsa. I posted here before about the good quality of the bars. Nothing to see here. A wipe is all they need. JJH

Step 1 , spray with Muc off or similar, leave 5 minutes

Step 2 , rince thoroughly with cold water

Step 3 , go ride round the block to get rid of water resting in engine areas

Step 4 , repeat Step 1 to 3 as needed :D

My routine:

Buy motorcycle

Wash & dry.
Coat liberally in ACF50.
Ride.

Funnily enough I check things like brakes, oil, coolant, and spokes before I ride each time. Maybe an aviation thing.

I check these as well, my bike still won't fly.

Ok first up I got my dates wrong its a March 2017, not 2016. so still under warranty. It done just short of 5000 miles, and due to health issues last year 4500 of those were in the first 12 month. Its been AFC 50ed about 5 times, even during the period it was not being used. It is washed and cleand every time it is used and the dealer described the bike as immaculate, but it has occasionally been used on the odd winter day when there was salt around.

Under normal circumstances I would have done what most people suggested and just clean it off, but when people have been getting full engines and gearboxes for corrosion on engine castings I thought, why bother cleaning it when it will only come back why not get it replaced.
It's just the BS excuse they came up with that has pissed me of. The dealer also said they replied quickly so it must be well known common fault although he had never heard of it before.
I put it on here to see if anyone else had had the same issue but it appears not,

I'll be on to customer service in the next couple of days I think

I had the same on my GSA after a few weeks of owning it. I gave the bike a thorough clean and then a coating of ACF 50, it's been fine since then (2 years).
Get your dealer on it asap to push harder.
Good luck.

1150 gs are very well built. Capable of 200k miles with ease.

Its a shame the engine is not as lively as an LC. It would be the only bike you ever need.
