I was wondering if you know of any cottages that I could rent for a week that would allow me take my German Shepherd and wife without any problems. I would like it in the Highlands/Skye areas towards the end of July. I will not be taking the bike as I cannot get a helmet for the dog. All joking aside, I will appreciate sensible replies. Thanks in advance, Ricky.:aidan

Good luck on your quest:thumb

We tried Scotland for a cottage but we wanted room for 4 dogs , wasnt available ,so we got a huge place near Blessington lakes. Away in a months time . Keep trying you will get something .

The cottage next door to us is a holiday let. (My missus does the change overs). Have a look at the website.

He has a booking for 28th July but it is free before that. The owner has no probs with dogs as he brings three himself when he stays.

These people have several, purpose built, properties on their land, most of which welcome pets. They are half an hour north of Fortwilliam, right in the highlands. They advertise their free weeks on ebay, where I once picked up a weeks stay for less than £100.
Either try your luck for an ebay cheapie, or contact them direct for the dates that suit you.

Give Strone Cottage a shout, not sure about availability but I know that’s it’s a working farm, they are keen on dogs, and have very high standards.
