Could anyone who owns a BMW Navigator satnav...

Looking at it now, what do you need to know.

Cant see a GPX file for dealers only maps.

I have both Nav IV and Nav V and both have BMW Dealerships UK & Europe but I can't see any file in the memory relating to these even with hidden files opened.

You'll probably find that the list is either inaccurate, out of date and / or includes car dealerships, who are of no help.

A local search in the telephone directory or via Google is probably easier. Not least you'll find other motorcycle dealerships which, unless you need a specific BMW part (as opposed to say tyres or oil) will be just as good.

Another reasonably reliable and up-to-date source is a very quick call to BMW Recovery in the UK, even if you are not a member. Their list is accurate.

Calling BMMIKE08 .cuz he has the Nav V! or anyone else who has one of those!

The file is in .gpi format and is found in Nav V in the POI folder which is a sub folder to the Garmin one.
It probably has a similar name to this old one D0743020B -
the icon is a white square with one dog-eared corner,
file size prob. less than 300kb

or it could be named gmapoem.img

any hope?

Wapping - I called them- they say they have no lists or databases- when needed they look up motorrad Germany for example and manually take the info from there.

Called Bm central at bracknell- clueless- say no more-

It woukd be a whole load simpler if someone has the file on their Motorrad V and could email it.

Then connect device.

Cant try it any further as I'm on a works PC. Hope it works.

Yes- on the pages- it does show the version iV but no link in that page which works for me- no worries-
I've found the same .gpi but an older version- but it does not contain any data aside from geo coordinates! arrgh

You'd think bmw, who make such a fuss about its bikes which HAD TO BE be serviced only by their approved centers, would actually make an effort and provide this database available - which costs nothing- to its customers who spend £££ on their machines? nope! God forbid we actually knew where motorrad dealerships were to spend even more money in...
