Could I sell a 1200 engine.

Unfortunately the buying back of the engine isn’t going to happen.

Unexpectedly it looks like the bike is going to be a write off.

On stripping it down it was found that as well as the engine the petrol tank was split and the rear subframe was twisted.

Total cost to fix….£12,700

That’s the hope but it depends on a. If they will and b. How much they are asking for it.

Seriously the list of damages sounds bad but I could get it back on the road 100% for around a grand which is a no brainier if it’s cheap enough.

I’m waiting for the insurance co’s engineer to inspect it and agree/disagree with the dealers estimate so I’ll know later next week.
