Glad that it was all resolved!
My F800GS has an oil leak from the countershaft seal. My dealer is sending me a new seal, which is nice, but I have now discovered that the reason I need a new seal is because their mechanic stuffed the seal with something like a screwdriver trying to get the sprocket off when I got the new chain and sprockets from BMW under the recall. This guy is highly regarded by the dealership, but I have my doubts!
So I guess the story is keep receipts and take photos, because you never know whats about to happen.
