Sources Needed for Used Lower Fork Cross Brace, F650GS Twin

Hi All,

Just wondering if anybody knows of any places other than Moto Bins and Motorworks as both don't stock any.

James Sherlock also do used spares. I've also had fair success on eBay though it's worth mentioning used parts like this may be coming off crashed bikes that, if they've had front end damage, may be slightly bent although often not visible to the eye and unfortunately eBay has it's fair share of unscrupulous suppliers...

Lab - the title says cross brace but the diagram shows triples... If it is the cross brace ie where the front mudguard sits, could a local smiths fab something for less than BMW's asking?

Cheers as ever, Smythson. No, unfortunately, it's part no. 7 (the one where the lower steering head race sits on). -Looks like an upside down 'T'. -That's where one of the steering locks has almost completely sheered off.

Have phoned James Sherlock earlier and no joy. It looks like it'll be a new one to order. But you know what? You've helped me realise how/why these parts are come from. So, I think, in terms of safety, I shouldn't compromise on this. ...Got to draw the line on budgeting somewhere, I guess ;D
