Cracked and Broken SwingArm/Shaft 1200GSA

The guy had an off and smashed the bike up......riding sand with road tyres
Metzeler Touyrance If I'm not mistaken? Good Dual purpose tyres except Mud! But then does anyting deal with mud well?

If he hadn't shown the vid of the ground I'd say that they got out of shape at the road edge did a few topsy turvies and ended up breaking the arm thru the topsy turvies?

BUT??????????????

If ya mean end over end Jaythro, I reckon you're right.......

There's front end damage but little on the sides and the screen's shagged....I reckon he lost it on that grey section he focussed in on and from the distance he was looking at through the camera I reckon he must have been cracking on (also damage to lid backs this up) .....not hard for something to dig in and flip the bike end over end and a 280kg laden bike landing on a drive casing at speed is going to wreck it whatever it is!

He's a lucky boy :)

Interesting It would be good to have a follow up and see what the end result was!

If you watch full screen theres a big black mark on the tyre up under the subframe, Is it a puncture or a where the wheel hit the subframe, I'd expect more of an obvious twist in the back wheel from an end over end or a diagonal roll ????

I'm pretty sure the rear tyre is flat.... (or very well run in on motorways...)

Wonder if it blew out and he lost it? Or got flat in the crash?

Al...

That.....is a proper off:eek:

I should think he used up all his lives just walking away from that thing!! Not suprised it broke as the impact from a laden 1200 ADV flipping over must be huge.

That 'grey area' looked like a yump to me, either a piped culvert or a rock outcrop sticking up, hit that at speed and the bike would struggle NOT to roll. Lucky man indeed:thumb
