cracked and perishing Brake reservoir pipe

folks giving the beast a once over before the MOT and I noticed the rubber pipe coming from the rear brake reservoir is starting to crack and perish.

Is this rubber pipe anything special in it's make up (like a rubber fuel pipe is) or would a local motorfactors lengths of rubber tubing do?

Its just an ordinary brake line.. identical to what you have at the front end. any line suitable for dot4 will do. It never moves so cheap as chips rubber will be fine.. or you can spend a bit more and go for steel braided.
