Someone was good enough to give me a spare screen for my R100 GSPD. It's one of the slightly larger one (possibly Wudo) and there is just one thing wrong with it, it has a 2 inch crack leading from the screw holes toward the bottom.
I seem to recall the received wisdom is to drill a small hole at the end of the crack to release the stress/stop it growing. Should you fill the hole with anything, superglue, silicone ...?

no- not in my experience.
i would try and run a little superglue along the crack if you can do this neatly theres a lot of potential for :blast if you get it wrong!
3 screens repaired that way so far.
using a VERY small drill bit, often a dremel mini drill.
its not always successful in completely stopping the crack spreading though.
but for me... about 75 -80% of the time.

Good Luck:thumb2

If the crack goes right throught the screen and you have a situation where flexing along the crack will occur then you will need to repair it.

I repaired a Cee Baileys screen that due to the bike going over on the side stand had broken around the mounting points. I bought an aircraft quality adhesive that is used to repair glider canopies and the instructions were to dremel along the crack so as to create a V and then fill the V with several thin coats of the glue.

I still have the glue in the garage and I'll dig it out and find out what it's called. It produced a very effective and quite neat repair. You may need to do this yet but my screen had a piece broken off around the mounting points and was unusable without the repair.

Drill a small hole about 1 to 2 mm away from crack put a small bit of pressure on screen and let crack run into the hole it will go no further.
I'll send you some resin that is brill for the job if you want
Run the resin across the crack and put some fag plastic paper over the resin
This will cause capillary attraction and the glue will go into crack for a stronger repair sunlight cures the glue

Don't use the fag paper on any other glue as it will be there till the end of time
