Location
somewhere
went to norway last year and toured
the centrel fjord country
ive been around a bit italy switzerland
tuscany pyranees black forrest arrdenn
route napolion ect ect ect but
norway takes the buscuit it just
goes on and i think its the spectaclar waterfalls
most prevalent around june as the snows are in full melt
be warned the beers very dear but
man its well worth it just take a couple
of litres od jd in a old coke bottle job done 7 ups very reasonable over there
ive split it int three parts part one
has the gerringer fjord and waterfalls
best seen from a boat costs about a tenner ..spectacular
theres some footage of the road in
again very nice unfortunatly we s
aw a kwck intruder intrude ino the front
of coach on one of the hairpins

part two has some footage of the very
special trolestgen road thet runs from
geringer to andelnes a few snips and
snaps thrown in, and a strange encounter
with the local sheep

part three has footage from the famouse
[over there ] route 13 and a really pretty
hairpin pass near to ballestrand

i have never seen so many breathtaking
waterfalls and scenery bolted together over
such a large area ..everday was a pure pleasure
we only managed 1800 miles in two weeks cos you just have to stop so often to admire the place
hints for gsers find the famouse flam railway
and instead of paying 60quid for the train
follow the trail alongside it into the mountain range
r1s pans ect need not apply ..superb

video should load quickly cant really do the
place proper jutice on film but youll get the idea

smashing place to go 20hours daylight as well

.....emmmmmmmmm, yes there is. My mate left his
pint of beer 1/2 full when he was there last so we're
off to find it and finish it off. At Norwegian prices it
must be worth at least a tenner.

Ever since I was a kid my impression of Santa Claus
was a kind old man with a magnificent
fleet of well turned out reindeer traversing the world
delivering presents to all those sweet children!!..........now all I
see is a probable piss head and a bunch of glorified
cows with elephant trunks on their 'heeds' swilling away
at tourists' beer.............mind you, I wont knock them back
if they're getting a round in !!!!..........good lads them there reindeer !!

Anyway...........sorry to steal your thread...........good vids
and Nordkapp here we come.

Awesome place

Great videos - went there in 2004 and watching your vids brought some graet memories. Cannot wait to go back next year.

Norway videos

Not that Norway needs to sell itself with all the positive feedback it receives on this site. but your video's have really signed and sealed the decision for me to go.

Just need to decide on whether to go in May or June.

Note:
Some roads are closed in the winter, and some of them are still closed in May.
And up in mountains you may find snow on the tarmac for a day or two if we get that kind of weather. But most likely you get no ice/snow if the road are open.
Some year we are celebrating our National Day 17.th oh May in sunny weather and thin clothes, spesially in the south. But there are places they are wearing winter clothes that day... - you'll never know!

If you are lucky the fruits are blooming in Hardanger (Odda, Lofthus, Kinsarvik) when you are there in May - that is beatiful!
In that area they are selling cherris from a small table by the road, often there are nobody there so you just help your selfes. Late June, I think, perhaps in July too.

Oh, and have I told you why the strawberries are so sweet in Norway?
The strawberries need a lot of light but not too much heat to get red slow, and that make them sweet.
In the south of Europe the strawberries get less light and more heat.
Norwegian strawberries, often Senga Sengana, are expencive, but wery good - just eat berries from the basket, no sugar needed! Mmmmmmmmm!!:thumb2
