Has anyone heard any details of a pile up involving 3 to 4 bikes, a van and a lorry? Oh yeah and a wall:eek:

My mate is in Intensive care with smashed wrist, both arms broken, leg broken and smashed knee cap:( He went under the lorry we think:nenau

The van stopped a fella and his wife, their condition isnt known but we think they may be the worse:tears

Another pal hit a wall, he has either head or spinal probem:nenau and might have to lose an arm:tears

all realy bad news but we cannot find out any other details other than third hand messages.

did anyone hear anything on the local news?

Any info much appreciated, apparently all were air lifted to relevant hospitals that could cope with their injuries.

Thanks

Richie

Shit, hope your mates injuries turn out to be less severe than that.:(
We were on our way back from devils bridge on tuesday afternoon and got told the road was closed. wondered what it was.

Pog - pm returned:thumb2

Pigglet - thanks we are still not sure what happened (apart from the injuries) and trying to find out if anyone else was injuried.

lead bike bike went round left hander to face an on coming artic which was too big for the class of road:mad:, he hit the lorry and bounced down the road. his pillion was thrown into a fied and broke her leg. Rider has smashed his pelvis into alot of bits and is now plated. His Right arm under went a 12 hr op to save it, he said the bones looked like a jigsaw:eek:

Second bike missed the lorry but used the dry stone wall to stop himself, Femur clean break, knee cap smashed and now plated, both arms broken and now pinned, Right wrist smashed and now plated to keep the bits together. 6 hr surgery in one go .

Third bike laid down before impact rider, walked away:thumb2

My mate said that when he was in the Air Ambulance (top people:thumb2) and slipping in and out of conciousness, he was aware of a camera crew, apparently the BBC were filming Helicopter Heroes, The Richard Hammond series, and Ian has been contaced today as they went to interveiw him before he is discharged. Good chance then that this will be aired.

seeing your mate lying there makes you think twice:mmmm
