I’ve bought some LOMO crash bar bags (fantastic quality) and was thinking about mounting them on the lower part of the crash bars. I’m a bit concerned if they will cause the heads to overhead as I would imagine it will restrict the airflow somewhat.

What ya think?

its LC, so should not overheat... but does make me wonder where people are going to want all this stuff on thier bikes?... i've toured plenty with panniers and a big tank bag... what are you going to put in them?
Also a plus if you have a slow speed tumble.. :)

I do camping and wild camping so carry a bit of kit. Bags are for carrying sleeping bag and pad so I can put the tent In the pannier and to spread the weight over the bike not just over the rear end.

At least the weight is nice and low. I would be wary I could snag them on something with all those straps hanging around.
I presume they must be very heat resistant - at least your sleeping bag would be nice and toasty :)

Just watch the straps don't get on your headers.. I had a plastic bag on mine... made a mess!!

The crash bag mount was just a loose fit. The straps will be tucked away. Also fit on the panniers quite nicely so I might go that way. Not decided yet..

Like your lateral thinking but I would say stay away from putting the bags on the engine bars. They would very easily ground out on corners and may also be at risk of burning on the exhaust pipes.
On the top box is better idea.

If you had the Touratech (other brands ARE available) upper crash bars, you could put them on those...
