Crash Bars on GS TE

Hi all. Have just joined the forum and have my new BMW. Just wondered if anyone knew who makes BMW's crash bars for them?

Why do you need to know? I don't think they are available from anyone other than BMW.
There are lots of makes out there, have a look through the search thingy, there is a lot of info there.

I'm not 100% sure but I seem to remember someone saying they're made by Touratech.

If so they are BMW only as they are different from the TT bars I have fitted.

I think it’s a guy called Helmut Von Pipenwelder

If so they are BMW only as they are different from the TT bars I have fitted.

It's possible that BMW spec them differently, Touratech sell a support brace for the OEM ones, that must mean they don't rate them so much.
