I had a bit of a tumble on the weekend bike toppled over with my partner on the back, full tank of fuel etc, we're ok, but sadly it scraped the crashbars and offside cylinderhead cover on the high kerb it fell against, (I have the light grey covers) , thought I would enquire cost of chrome covers as I'd like to dress up the engine a bit anyway.. £400!! and I would still have to get crashbars painted.. does anyone here have experience with powder coating? I was thinking of getting the whole lot done in chrome powder coating.. waiting for a quote from a company as we speak..

Chrome powder coating only resembles chrome and not that closely IMHO. It looks chrome at a glance but that's it. If you yearn for that high shine chrome look you will be very disappointed. You could of course actually get your parts chrome plated and would be a lot cheaper than the £400.
