Dropped my bike off with Chris Tunbridge at CT Motorcycle services the other week for various bits to be powder coated and also to have the two side panels beneath the tank painted. Here is a pic of the bike when I dropped it off, and another of the bits he removed for powder coating. Will post progress pics as I get them, but looking forward to seeing the end result.......

Update, my boxes have now been returned after painting:

Bike should be finished and ready for collection by the end of the month.

Progress so far, all the bits have been powder coated and the two tank panels are painted and back on the bike. Have also had the exhaust headers wrapped. The only bit left to do is the large plastic panel under the seat which is being painted black and then once that is back on hopefully it will be ready for collection next Saturday. Can't wait........

Looks great, love the look of the black panniers and the black bash plate, rails, crash bars etc, the centre stand does look a little worse for ware in the photos, could just be camera angle.

Looks great :thumb2

Love the idea of taking personalising to the next level. Must start saving some pennies.

Quick Q. What happens when you need to replace the lid and Arai aren't doing the black/orange colour scheme anymore?

Thanks for the comments.

Originally I bought the bike to see how I got on with the GSA and was then going to trade it in for a new one. However, I have enjoyed the bike so much I have decided its a keeper.

That's why I just fancied doing something to change the look of the bike, but keep it practical and easy to look after as I use it a lot. The centre stand I am not worried about as they get so much abuse, so I left it 'as is'.

The std ally finish on the panniers and top box was looking pretty grotty, so this has given them a new lease of life as well.

It will look good with my current lid, but no real disaster when I have to change it, as will just go for a plain black instead. Although the new Shoei Hornet ADV is now available in Black with Orange graphics ;)

Cheers Chris! I knew you couldn't resist posting at least one!! ;)

See below for the rest of the pics. I am really pleased with the way the bike has turned out, and can't wait to collect it on Saturday. It's that little bit different, but subtle. Just what I wanted.

Thanks again Chris, TOP JOB!! :thumb2
