Crashed the Sertao today

I managed to bin the Sertao today, got caught out in a blizzard and the inevitable happened. Handlebars are severely bent in fact the metal is bubbled and looks like its about to crack front indicator destroyed, brake pedal and footrest hangar bent, every bit of plastic on the right side scuffed including the beak, I'm sure I'll find more as I start to repair it.

So my first question is: can anyone recommend a pair of aftermarket handlebars, renthal do a pair but do they work ok with heated grips, cable and wiring length ok etc?

Likewise any recommendation for aftermarket indicators, the scuffed plastics I can live with.

The ABS light will not go off now, steady not flashing, I've tried resetting it but it's still the same, yet the sensor is on the opposite side that I dropped it? Any clues as to what it could be.

As I found out when I lost the sale of last 1200. as Mr K has said it could well be either your foot brake or front brake staying on where you have damage, ie brake switches staying on, so not allowing ABS to clear...
Worth checking to see if both brakes return fully to stop and that the front is not depressing the brake lever where the hand guard meets the lever....

( my hand guard was slightly touching the front brake lever, so the ABS light would not go out )

Finished the repairs on the bike today, new brake lever (pattern) new indicator (pattern) from Wemoto, the biggest ball ache was replacing the handlebars. £70 2nd hand was best I could find for originals so bought a new set of Renthals for £39, although advertised for the Sertao they require a bit of work to make them work. So in case anyone else buys a set be aware you need to drill and tap two holes for the heated grip on the left, plus a 5mm left and a 4mm right for the switch gear. Bent the rear brake lever straight (very flimsy) give it a clean and retreated it in ACF50, so bar a few scuffs that I can live with, normal service has been resumed

Yes I did!

It was the front brake lever on the handlebar, there is a rubber shrouded switch the lever depresses, the lever bent and was no longer depressing this switch but the brake still worked, there is a lot of movement in it and it can basically pop out. There is also a second contact on the outside of the lever near the pivot where it's attached, check here too, although I think this may be for the brake light but I think it's all linked. I noticed this when I replaced the lever.

I bought a set of these as well (Blue sportsbike bars) I looked a little closer at the pins etc on the switchgear and, well, just pulled them out!! I used grip glue on the LH grip and Voila! no awkward drilling, everything functioning, good looking bars and a LOT stronger than the chewing gum OEM bars. I have heard that these bend even when the bike drops off the stand!

Oh, And you can even turn the switchgears round for better angle before tightening which is also a bonus because we are not all built the same are we? I fitted after market METAL bar end grip thingies with standard bar end weights but a longer A4 stainless bolt, both available cheaply on Ebay.

Did gluing the grip on not affect the heated grips, or dont you have them?
