Having previously slagged off Hursts for their inattention to potential customers on the premises and about them charging for tea & coffee I think it's only fair that I redress the balance after a good experience at the weekend.

I was wandering around some of the Belfast bike shops in the company of Aidan1150 & Triggerfish on Saturday when, after leaving HG, the ABS fault light wouldn't clear. Checked all the usual things but to no avail. Triggerfish says 'let's try Hursts'. I was a bit dubious but was a bit short of options especially as I was scheduled to do a Kesh recce on Sunday.

So off we set with Triggerfish leading (what part of 'I've NO brakes' did ya not understand :pullface) and made it safely to their place. After buying me a cup of tea Big Alan took the bike around to the workshop & put it onto the machine which identified the problem as the switch on the front brake lever. This he cleaned with a liberal dose of contact cleaner, the problem was sorted & we were out of there within half an hour.

So well done Alan, you saved the day :thumb2
I'm not fully over my 'Hurst-phobia' but it's not as bad as it was :D

As one who has often had a go at Hursts I must acknowledge that Alan looked after us very well on Saturday.

I was well after 3pm when he took the bike into the workshop and 10 minutes later he had the problem solved. :clap:clap

Thanks for all your help Alan. :thumb2

Depending how bad your craving is, I can recommend the free coffee in Millsport Motorcycles in Ballymoney - I guess that's just a tad too far from Kildare though Jockser!:blagblah

I don't even drink coffee, strictly a tea man ;)

With a GSA & a dry day nowhere's too far from Kildare :D
In fact most places aren't far enough :blast

Alan is a gentleman and a true biker
fairplay Alan :clap:clap:clap

Have to agree...........the last time my bike broke down (Ring Antenna) it was sorted out very quickly and Alan gave me a lift home:thumb
When one of the locks fell out of my top box the mechanic came out and showed me how to ensure it never happens again:thumb

Yip, this is defo a hi-jack....

Was that soon enough for youse ?
Crackin' day, thanks Daithi & ShortArse :bounce1

Great craic. :D:clap I tooka few pics but they're blurry. I'm all aches and pains but it was briliant and my GasGas ran like a clock. :thumb

ShortArse has improved a lot in a very short length of time, but I've a trials riding lesson booked with Reonvore too. :thumb2

Thanks lads for all the entertainment.:blast:augie:D
