Taking a 3 week tour into the Balkans shortly and wondered if anyone else was going to be in the area last week August and first 2 weeks September....other than Teebee that is?

I'm taking what I think is the last train of the season, Den Bosh to Koper, with my bike, on the 28th Aug, the Mrs is flying out for 17 days, then leaving me for 4 weeks, will be travelling on down through Croatia, Montenegro, Albana, to Greece, probably back via Bulgaria, Romania etc, haven't decided yet:) I'm booked off work until 15th October, so I'm just going to take it easy:cool:

I'll be going past Koper but on the 24th August and I think your Mrs will be there for most of my trip. Sounds similar but I'm only going into nothern Albania.

Hey, meet up with you another time Mike, I've a friend who lives/works in Den Haag, will be staying with him the night before I get the train, but then you will be already down there. Would be interested to know what is worth visiting in Albania, I might stay there longer than initially planned.

I am heading out that way too. There are two of us, and our rough plan is to catch the Ferry to Igoumenitsa on the 20th, then work our way up through Greece, Albania, etc up to Split or Zadar over 3 weeks, where we will catch a ferry back to Italy

Sources of inspiration have been;

Still researching maps, track logs, etc but looking forward to it and happy to share info etc :thumb2

I am planning on visiting (albania) the Valbona Valley (dead end) via the Lake Komani ferry, and also Theth. There are numerous tracks in both these areas (and between) to explore. STill working on Montenegro.
