Croatia- Hotel recommendation sought

This forum has provided us with two of our favourite hotels, Hotel del Oso & The Monte Igueldo, we have stayed at both several times and will almost certainly use again in the future.

Next year we are planning a trip to Croatia somewhere we have never been before. Any nice hotels along the coast, but especially between Rijeka & Split, doesn’t have to have a sea view but walking distance to local restaurants would be a bonus.

not south of Rijeka but maybe a pitstop in Istria before you go down to Split.

Can't recommend you any hotels in these towns, but Sibenik and Zadar are well worthwhile checking out.

I've stayed in this hotel in Split, inside the Diocletians Palace walls, and convenient for most of the sights because of this. And, views out onto the Riva because of this.
