I'm Googled-out.

Done this area before .. several times .... but there is always someone with a few gems hidden in their secret route-log diaries.

( and I see that Mr Wapping is on a route-making quest at the moment )

Entering France round about Sedan on the D964 - heading to Geneva. I'm ok when I get to the mountainy bit. Its the bit before I'm after.
Willing to wander.

I want lazy relaxed quiet, poplar and vineyard lined minor-ish roads, with French onion sellers with stripey shirts and berets waving to me from their bicycles as I glide through their villages, leaving a slight dusty cloud hanging in the still summer air. Faded Peugeot signs on the gable ends of garages with old petrol pumps right at the edge of the road.

Yeppsiree .... Thats the route for me.

Its over to you . :thumb2

Overwhelming response.

S'ok .. :thumb2

From Sedan head south to Verdun. SW to St Dizier then onto Troyes. This is champagne country.

From Troyes head south to Dijon then head to Beaune via Nuits St George into the Cote d'Or which is the heart of Burgundy.

From Beaune head south through the Maconnais to Beaujolais.

Geneva is only a short hop to the east.

Nice route. If decide to take the more direct route from Dijon and through Poligny avoid around the weekends as the traffic can be hellish at present with the August holidays.

PM me when you are around Geneva. Always happy for a beer at La Terrace on the lake this time of year.

Can't remember the exact route but heading from Troyes to Autun via Tonnerre, Ancy-le-Franc, Semur-en-Auxois and Saulieu had nice bends and scenery. Plus a few chateau and sights :) Then from Autun, nice scenic place with Roman etc remains onto Cluny then onto the autoroute to head East.
