For all out there a little warning a about this company, order a helmet off them and was told would have it next day never came called them 6 days latter and spoke to The Boss the only problem it was like dealing with the lowest form of skum that you could find.
Of course i never got my helmet
but i also never got my full refund.

The moral of this it think there is no point giving your money to skum
:spitfire

if you paid it on a credit card call them up and log a dispute the CC company will get the money back no mucking about...:augie

you are a valued customer to'em... they'll not be taking no prisoners... just ask Hertz Car rental about the power of one phone call...:D

A few more details may be useful. How did you pay and why haven't you received either the helmet or a refund? If you have paid, and can prove so, they should be able to show proof of delivery (I'd have thought that you'd need to sign for a helmet?). Is this not a matter for the police? Whilst you may have concerns over the quality of the staff, your post appears to imply that you've just given up on either getting the helmet you ordered or a refund?

Cant agree............I took a spin up a month ago and decided on a Shoei Multitech to replace my System5. They didn't have my size in stock in the colour I wanted and despite having done a 'cash' deal they they ordered the lid from the supplier, fitted larger cheek-pads and posted it (at their cost) to me a few days later. There was a small delay caused by the supplier I think but it was delivered to my door by courier a few days later. As far as I can see, each postal delivery is tracked and recorded and should be 100% traceable. Very happy with their service and would go again.......:nenau

never again

never got the full refund of the lid as when they did come around to it 7 days latter
never got the full amounge back (exchange rates & so)

But my main problem with them was how i was treated on the phone when i call 6 days after placing the order and spoke 'the Boss' this behavior was way out of line one eg Told me to come up to this shop and he will sort me outside.Never have seen this kind of beviour before and i would not want to see it again and thats why i mean it when it say never again.

:aidan hello from Ireland.

In response to franks post about us, i would like to set the record staight about this ejeet.

He ordered a clearance arai tour x 2 helmet at a bargain price of £220 delivered to galway on wed 23rd july 08. size medium in aluminium grey. Una our girl here in the shop left a message on his voice mail thursday moring to say we were waiting on an interior skull cap , because we only had size large helmets remaining... Now anyone who knows anything about arai helmets will tell you (including arai uk) that a size medium tour x and a size large tour x are actually the same helmet. but with different thickness of skull cap pad and cheek pads.... so a large can be made into a medium and vice versa......

Anyway the customer phoned on the saturday moring wondering why he had not recieved his helmet and was told that the skull caps had just arrived with us on the friday evening and his helmet was all ready to go out to him on the monday for next day delivery on the tuesday. however the customer started to get abusive about the whole thing and saying that a large could not be made into a medium etc.... i am an arai technician and have been on numerous arai technical training courses both in the uk and at arai europe, so i knew for a fact i was right.......but there are some people you just can't talk to. he was then told no problem we will cancel the order and issue a full refund. this was done on monday morning 28th july when thevisorshop reopened. it was done for the full amount of £220 pounds sterling which we had taken in the first place.... Now the customer then phoned on monday afternoon complaining that he was 12 euro short on his refund. but we have proof to show we refunded the full amount that we took ie £220 sterling....... his card company has obviously changed exchange rates between the payment and refund(we cannot do anything about that). He was very abusive to Adrian on the phone, and Adrian told him that if he still wanted the helmet that he would throw in 12 euros of free stuff.. but this still was not good enough for him.........Adrian then asked him for a fax number so he could fax the customer proof of the payment and refund slips to show we had refunded in full on our end. the customer would not allow this. Instead just raving away... Adrian told him to come up to the shop and see this for a fact, he did not want to.

If you are reading this Frank, we have your address and we will not hesiate to take you to court for slander if we see anymore slanderous attacks on our good reputation on any other forums...... i know we have a lot of customers on this forum, as one of them allerted us to this tread.

to end , we are a customer concious shop and always try to be fair, but some people just want to rave and rave...............:aidan

Sounds a very fair account from ' the other side of the story'

No pleasing some people though

Probably a simple explanation

When you buy something in a different currency the bank add a comission (3%-15% depeending on your bank). The (thieving bstards) don't show you this on the statement, but its there buried in the small print of your CC agreement.
The difference between the purchase price and the refund price is the banks comission.
Always nice to see that whatever happens the bank doesn't lose out.:spitfire

BTW Kudos to Crossan :thumb2 for posting here and putting their side of the story - in marked contrast to the underhand and shabby behaviour of Cannon's BMW in the shape of willow in another thread.

Seems like Crossans have done everything in their power to satisfy the customer, but said customer was totally unreasonable. I've read in several motorcycle publications that a medium and large sized Arai are the same shell size, but to argue the point from a position of ignorance says a lot.

Another case of one disgruntled customer drowning in a sea of satisfied ones, and they always shout the loudest.

Kudos to Crossans for giving their side of the story..........now lets talk about some club discount....:D

tuppence worth

I think it would actually be libel:rob

'published statement falsely damaging a persons reputation'

'false and malicious statement about a person'

nobody likes a smart arse:augie
