Well done to crossans for having the balls to give their side of the story :thumb2
Regardless of who is right in this case at least both sides have moved on to, hopefully, sorting their differences out, though I suspect that Cashel has probably burnt his bridges

Perhaps, in light of recent events, we should as a matter of routine, alert any accused business of said complaint and invite them to put their side of the story :nenau

A lot of damage can be caused by biased complaints. Times are tough for all businesses. It's not just the 'greedy businessmen' who get hurt, it's also the employees and their families, suppliers and their families etc. if a business goes belly up.

Just my 2p

Very well handled Crossan's and admirable to come on and defend your corner in such a public manner.

On that basis alone, what could have turned into some very negative advertising appears to have turned around into a great advert for thevisorshop/crossans!

Played!

My side of the story

There are two things I would like to clarify:
1. I never got a message from Una on my mobile phone about the delay and the wrong size of helmet they had in stock. I said this from the beguinning and if that was the case it would have not been any problem with me.

2. At any stage I was abusive on the phone to any of the staff or Adrian. In fact, it was the other way around and that's when I decided to put it on the Forum because I felt I haven't been treated correctly.

Similiar story with different ending...

I bought and paid for XL Chaser in the shop and was to be posted down as no XL in white in stock.. fine and dandy. A week later no Lid so rang and guys explained issue with Chaser in White but that they would ship White Astro-R if agreeable... and at same price?

I agreed, Lid arrived by post the next day... packaging was top notch and will defo be shopping there again.

Also saved me a couple of yo-yo's in the process so happy all round.

Bravo Zulu guys.

Crossans

Couldn't find directions to the store on the website. Are they far from the Big Mac roundabout in Newry? I'll be heading down the rocky road to Dublin on Fri and fancy a nosey round.

I have bought a motorcycle in the past from Crossans and had over the first few months a couple of wee hiccups. After perhaps what I like to think were crossed wires, Adrian (the organ grinder) became alerted to the problems and immediately true to his word and without any hesitation proceeded to resolve them and very much to my complete satisfaction.

It will no doubt be of some interest to this particular forum that if Adrian were in a position to look at providing an alternative supply of the GS that at our last discussion could possibly do so at a more competitive price than you know who! For anyone who has not seen their premises, I recommend a visit to see for yourself, huge variety of clothing, helmets and accessories as well as motorcycles and a variety of off road vehicles.

I must say that personally from my first contact with Crossans that everything from the telephone manner of whoever answers the phone to personal customer service which has always included a brew and a biscuit, free, again unlike some dealers we all know I myself have nothing by praise. I have always been made very welcome, always offered a seat and cuppa, even when the guys are sat round having their lunch and made to feel like they were interested in me, the customer.

I am sorry that someone here feels that they have had less than what they may have expected from any dealer, but I also think that it is important that the dealer involved in what may have been only just cross words and misinterpretation and inaccurately reported facts is not unfairly discriminated against in this and the wider motorcycle fraternity.

Just my 2p worth and before anyone asks NO I am not called Crossan, or Adrian, I don't work for them, don't live in Mayobridge, I'm not getting paid for or have been promised anything in exchange for these comments.

There I have think I have covered all my bases, ha, we will see!

Hi Chubby Thumper, I have attached GPS Co Ords below for you, hope it helps, cheers,

N54 11.055 W6 14.375 or see mapsoure link attached.

If you get onto the Crossan Road their premises sit back a wee bit from the road but the large entrance should get your attention. And if I have the exact location wrong I guess someone as always will be along to rectify it with a smart comment.

Ha,. great minds, whilst I was attaching that the Celt slipped in and snatched it.

Getting there

Couldn't find directions to the store on the website. Are they far from the Big Mac roundabout in Newry? I'll be heading down the rocky road to Dublin on Fri and fancy a nosey round.

Be careful with automatic GPS routing - if coming from south of Newry anyway. It always routes me up Temple Hill and Ballyholland Road as the "best " route - its not the best, in fact its downright dangerous and scary in parts, especially if you're pushing on (.... I tend to be behind schedule:augie)

Get onto the A25 and on out the Hilltown Road.
