Wanted Crown Green Bowls

Must be getting old coz i'm looking for a set of CG bowls.
Standard weight and good quality so if anyone has any kicking around not being used I'd be interested.

We have a good club with a bar 2 mins walk from home. Me and my best mate of 50 years have zero leisure pursuits in common and both working less so it's something we've both hit on.

I'm a member of a bowling club just ten minutes walk away. However, I don't play bowls which is just as well because the green isn't cut short enough these days and none of the members bowl. Most importantly the beer is good.

Hahah here in the village we have taken up petanca with local old boys in the evening with our beers in hand. The only difference is, light doesn’t stop play because the plaza street lights stay on well into the night/morning!

Rather than buy some 'random' standard weight bowls go down to the club you're wanting to play on and ask to sample a few sizes/weights...I'm a large glove fitting and find 2.8's are right for me.

Thanks for the offer but it's morphed into a social club with no interest in bowling. The green is now used for events such as birthdays and kids bouncy castles etc.
The old green keeper is probably turning over in his grave.
A good pint of Boddingtons though..
