Crud Catchers

I'm returning to the fold, well almost. Not another GS but an RS is on order, Grey with lots of toys.

I'm not planning to do many if any winter miles on salt encrusted roads but high on my list of extras is a Mudsling (when they become available) and a crud catcher. Fenda Extendas don't work as the mudguard is too flimsy.

The CyMarc one is big, stainless and pricey. The Wunderlich is small and coated aluminium and cheaper. Does anyone have any recommendations based on experience?

Do we need an RS sub forum? The RS seems to be taking off quite well.

Cymarc do a black powder coated crud catcher that will match your engine. It'll blend in so you won't notice it's there.

Bolts

I have access through work to have a go at making make my own stainless crud catcher but i wondered if anyone knew the spacer and bolt lengths needed?

Crud catcher works well. I can't put my hand on a photo showing that my fender extender has also worked well for 4,000 miles. Seems I am the 1 in a 100 who is using one without a problem.

I'm also running with an Ilmberger hugger. Nice piece of kit.
