CTEC Multi XS 3600 Battery Charger

I have a CTEC Multi XS 3600 battery charger and I want to know is it safe to charge the battery while still attached to the bike. I have a 2006 R1200GS and I obviously don't want to fry something if I do.

Yes, it's quite safe.

Unless the charger is equipped to deal with a canbus system you will need to connect it straight to the battery, via a suitable fused lead.

Plus 1 - been using a CTEC wired direct to the battery on my last 3 1200GS's no problems and never had to replace a battery
