Cubby holes etc

Whatton,

Nice solution.

How do you feed your cables out or into the box?
Does the MP3 player suffer from vibration?

Cheers

Eddy, I only fitted the box yesterday.

I'm going to fit a couple of the small (16mm/20mm ?) black plastic compresion glands in the underside of the box.

The box has a thin polystrene lining but I was thinking of adding the type of foam you find in the large hard camera cases. The kind you can cut spaces in the right size to fit the kit.

:)

Cool.

Where'd you get those from? And what diameter cable can they take?

Sorry for the 1000 questions....

:D

Cable glands are available at most electrical wholesalers. Edmondsons, Newey and Eyre and the like. Maplins may sell them or if you have an account RS components will definatly have them. Try www.screwfix.com part ref D18138-74 but you'll be buying a pack of 10 for £5.

I'm going to have a dig around in my old tool boxes, I was an electrician back in the late 20th century.

:)

Thanks very much to Swesty and Whatton. I have copied your original idea almost to the letter and have to say that its perfect for my needs. Pda, camera and mobile in the right place with room left over for small things + Passport etc.

Have to stretch up slightly to see the time but all other lights are in full view.

Thanks again guys :beerjug: on me.

Noddy, peel the Otter sticker off and turn it around.

I'm glad there's someone listening out there. .
:)
