Cure for spray on left leg

Take the large plastic "bumper" off the back wheel as it seems to allow the water/spray to spin with the wheel and get dumped back into the rear of the bike. I have removed it on my last two GS and will remove it off my Rallye as well. Couple removal of said plastic monstrosity to the infill panels from BMW and a Cymarc rear number plate lip deflector and you should be fine. Many thousands of wet soggy miles with such a set up and no issues with spray on either legs. Also it flings back enough crap to stop numpties driving up your arse in the wet and shit too.

Wet feet

I have fitted a mudslinger which has made a bike difference but the back end still get mullered in mud and shit, I purchased some over boots which have turned out to be rubbish so I have dug out my old Goretex walking gaiters which have turned out to brilliant and easy to take on and off.
£17000 bike and I have to wear gaiters to keep my feet dry what the F@@k

I was wondering if the right leg gets sprayed on a hex head, where the silencer is ON THE OTHER SIDE. jeez! :blast

Right leg does get well sprayed on a hexhead. I was not happy when my lovely new Streetguard trousers got mucked up. I would like to know the solution....

I have all the above and the OE BMW infills panels. I see few after market manufacturers do similar. Don’t have any spray on my legs.
Google BMW r1200gs infill panels and you get a bunch of hits.

Zoltan yours clearly looks like its never been remotely moist, what do you need all the panels for? :D

The only thing that stops the backs of your legs covered in crap is is infill panels, I know, cos I have fitted all the other parts to try and stop it.
mudsling
Hugger
Funny rear plastic mud guard on/off.
The infill panels were the last to be fitted and it was finally those that stopped the crap.

Ffs just wear proper goretex adventure boots and let the crap do its best. its only crap and water chaps :nenau:comfort:augie:D

The crap used to cover the back and inside of the legs right up to the seat, not just a bit of dirty water but real gritty crap like you'd been offroad

Hate to do a Tarka - it’s a Mudsling...... not Mudslinger ... like it’s a GS Adventure.... not Adventurer.....

Seriously ?

It is a motorbike and they do tend to leave the rider somewhat exposed to the elements

If you must look dry and immaculate when you arrive at Tesco / Starbucks / waitrose / super sausages ( other GS destinations are available)

Take the car

Is a car like a cage? I read a lot about cages here. People don’t seem to like them as they are all driven by idiots, apparently.

Yes, very seriously.
In my 44 years of bike riding (still averaging 9,000mls a year) no bike I have owned comes anywhere near to the GS in its ability to cover the rider and pillion in crap.
If popping into one the list of destinations I would take the car.
