Custom Paint jobs

there's a bloke down our way who's very good he did the Long Way to Dakar bikes which looked nice, does loads of others and is recommend by a number of dealers down my way.

but he's a nightmare to contact cos him and email don't get on I'll see if I have his details stashed away.

They wanted £500 to strip and respray an 1100 tank and beak - single colour.. work including repair to a dent.

After recovering from my prompt nervous collapse.. quick hunt (on here) took it to a local car refinisher and paid £120 for respray AND repair. Work was spot on. :thumb

I was thinking something like these:

Sorry for not being BMWs - but my chap has helped transform these Hondas........I'm still working on him to pay some attention to my GS :augie

The XL was painted by one of Chads' buddies - and the Africa Twin was painted by Colin at Airbrush Art - XL Tank cost approx £80 finished, the 'fluttering' Union Jack about £1000

You could also try Wolfie in the Brecon Beacons. He does all sorts of custom stuff, is top (show winning stuff) and not too expensive either. I have photographed several bikes he has done for the custom magazines.

Another top painter is John at PITSTOP PAINT - fast turn around, and very reasonable prices. You will need to send your stuff though, he is on Isle of Lewis...but is constantly busy with people sending their bodywork to him to be painted. He is GOOD.

Best bet would be to buy a copy of STREETFIGHTERS and look through the ads in th eback...plenty in there and good powder coaters too, powder coating metallics and rainbow mixes. AMAZING stuff.
